How Is Fault Determined After an Injury Accident in Rutherford County, TN?Crash Injures at Least One on Mayfield Dr in Rutherford Co., TN

In Tennessee, fault is assessed under a modified comparative fault system, which means a person can recover compensation as long as they are found to be less than 50 percent responsible for the wreck. If fault is shared between drivers, each party’s degree of responsibility affects how much compensation may be available.

People hurt in vehicle crashes may face a range of injuries depending on the speed and angle of impact. Whiplash, back injuries, and soft tissue damage are among the most common, and symptoms often intensify in the days following a collision.

Medical records created close to the time of the crash are among the most useful forms of evidence in a personal injury claim. Because of this, prompt medical evaluation is very important regardless of how minor injuries may initially appear.

A car accident attorney can help injured people gather the documentation needed to support a claim, negotiate with insurance companies, and determine what compensation may be available for medical expenses, lost wages, and pain and suffering.
